Aliya Faust is a dynamic media and marketing strategist with a passion for storytelling, music, and sustainable community development. Born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Camden County, NJ, she honed her craft at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism where she earned a degree in multi-platform journalism with a minor in Family Science. It was there that she discovered her love for radio and digital media—blending entertainment and lifestyle content with a mission to uplift communities.

First inspired by magazines like VIBE, JET, Time, and Cosmopolitan, Aliya built a career at the intersection of journalism, radio, and marketing. While she’s worked as a writer for VIBE, Cosmopolitan for Latinas, and Kontrol magazines, and as a production assistant at ABC News, her journey in radio began at iHeart Radio Philadelphia, later taking her to Cumulus Media New York, Urban One and Reach Media, where she would go on to manage digital content and marketing strategy for nationally syndicated radio shows and top-rated radio stations across the country. In between her radio journey, she launched GospelGoodies.com, a gospel entertainment platform that led to broadcast opportunities and national partnerships.

In 2021, she transitioned from radio to music exec, serving as Director of Marketing at Sony Music’s RCA Inspiration/Provident Entertainment, spearheading branding strategies for chart-topping music artists, all while hosting a Sunday night radio show on Philly’s 100.7FM.

Aliya currently serves as CEO at Hazel View Media, a branding & marketing agency she founded in 2017, where she continues to develop award-winning strategies for entertainers and a range of small business owners. In between her work as a Marketing & Creative Director, she also sits on the urban gospel music committee for the Gospel Music Association (GMA) and is deeply invested in community impact.

Beyond marketing and entertainment, Aliya leads the Reginald Faust Foundation which rallies around holistic well-being for underserved communities, championing growth and empowerment through faith, family, food, and fitness. Whether through storytelling, music, or service, her mission remains the same: to inform, innovate, and inspire.
